Individual Therapeutic Sessions
One-on-one therapeutic sessions for your child focus on their emotional wellbeing and build their confidence to express and process emotion in healthy ways.
Art Well
Emotional well-being is important for confident, happy children. Art well encourages children to explore self-expression through a variety of art forms including painting, drawing, collage, and clay. Understanding emotions and how to talk about them can be tricky for an anxious child. Art Well provides the opportunity for participants to express emotions in a creative and safe place.
Available for individual children aged 8 to 12
Cost: $90/session or $480 for 6 sessions (6 weeks)
Clay Play
Sensory play can allow children to connect with their feelings and help them to understand their emotions. The earthiness of clay and the action of pounding, manipulating, and creating is a powerful form of self-expression. When their hands are immersed in clay, a child’s busy mind can relax and they enter a place of imagination and creation.
Available for individual children aged 8 to 12.
Cost: $90/session or $480 for 6 sessions (6 weeks)
Pet Loss Therapy
When my little dog Pierre died aged 14, it was like losing a member of my family. Drawing his portrait helped ease the pain of loss. The grief we feel when a pet dies can be devastating and very real, especially for a child as it may be their first experience of loss. Drawing or painting a picture of a pet that has died, creating textile art from their blanket, or writing about the loss can be healthy ways to cope with the heartache and focus on good memories.
Available for children 8 to 12 years or family groups.
Cost: Individual — $90/session or $480 for 6 sessions (6 weeks)
Family — $130/ session or $580 for 6 sessions (6 weeks)
